Ask your rental agency about a family vacation at blue mountain beach

It's neat to kick back and relax beneath your beach umbrella and listen to the surf and sea birds, and that is enough for many people.  If you are looking for fun, blue mountaiin beach has it!  There are miles of paved bike paths that run along the edge of the woods and cross small lakes on wooden bridges.  The emerald green water is great for kayaking, surfing, snorkeling, swimming, bodyboarding, and skimboarding.   Ask your rental agency if they have a family vacation package that includes some of the fun things to do!

All of these activities are popular at Blue Mountain Beach.  There is an excellent bike path that runs along CR-30A, the county road running through Blue Mountain Beach.  In the spring, fall, and winter, surfing is good, but you need to bring a wet suit.  During the peak summer season the Gulf of Mexico is pretty flat most of the time, which produces really great conditions for sea kayaking.  Bikes, kayaks, and surfboards can be rented from  Island Sports Shop.htm.

If you want to go deep sea fishing, jet skiing, or parasailing, you will have to drive into Destin.  Destin is only 10 or 12 miles away, and the roads are good.  (They have just 4 laned US 98). Think Blue Mountain Beach for destin vacation rentals!
