There is a lot to do if you are interested in ocean sports. The exceptional water clarity makes snorkeling a pleasant pursuit, and you can surf, kayak, bodyboard, skimboard, or ride bikes.

There are no high rise condos on inlet beach. You can get an idea of what all of the Destin area beaches looked like back when Destin was a sleepy fishing village. The white sand beaches run from Pensacola to Appalachacola, about 150 miles, and are unique to this part of north florida.
Inlet beach is a bedroom community, although some shopping is beginning to appear at the fringes of inlet beach. You aren't far from front beach road, where you will find two fairly large shopping centers. Panama City Beach proper is only a few miles farther, and it has a super walmart. You will enjoy the apparent remoteness of inlet beach, and you will find it is not crowded.
