Grayton Beach is about 15 miles from Destin, so you probably wouldn't want to drive into Destin everyday. There are still a lot of fun things to do here. If you enjoy beach sports, you will enjoy this beach. Bring your volley ball and net, there is plenty of room to play. Water clarity is excellent, and great for snorkeling. Surfing depends on the season, the best surfing is in fall winter and early spring. However, when the surfing is worse, kayaking is good.
